About the Business:

Michael Carnie was born in Manchester, England and moved to the United States in 1981. He soon found his place in the photography business as “Michael of England” and had a studio located on the corner of University Drive and Griffin Road in Davie. After five years of shooting boudoir photography, he began to shoot weddings and other onsite events. He quickly gained a reputation for high quality, classic forms of lighting, and creative posing techniques. Several yacht charters, country clubs, hotels, and at one time, the prestigious Walt Disney World in Orlando, have recommended Michael. After 21 years in the business, Michael is well respected in the industry.

When digital photography hit the market, Michael was among one of the first to make the switch from film to digital. He realized that there was no longer the cost involved in buying 2-1/4 format film, processing it, developing it, then printing proofs. He understood that he could pass those savings onto his clients and launched Affordable Pro Photo & Video. While other studios’ pricing has remained the same, Michael is able to produce the same high quality, but at a much lower price.

Michael personally trains each and every one of his photographers and videographers to shoot the same style and quality as he does. He teaches them the creative posing and lighting techniques that you see in the sample gallery. With his direction and guidance, Michael’s staff is now amongst the best in the South Florida.
